just a day at the park

SO yesterday we joined our friends, lydia(and her kids), Marilyn and Sam, Briony(and her kids) at the Fitts park. We enjoyed the free kids lunch and fed the ducks with Briony's day old bed. Then we played on the playground for a good hour. Ethan fell asleep after much fussing for lydia. Then Marilyn, Lydia and I practiced some of our Renaissance music. Lily had a lot of fun running around trying to pick lots of flowers. If anyone has any they want picked Lily is the best for the job. I love my little munchkins.

The Wonderful Renaissance Faire!

This was the last wekend of the Renfair and it was positively amazing. I came home with such an amazing feeling. What differed from the weekend before was that a royal Noble court from Colorado came for the first time. Most Renaissance Faires have a royal court that presides over the festival this one does not as yet. So this guild came to participate. The were positively the most wonderful people. The Utah fair generally does not have very many nobles, mostly pirates, gypsies and fairy sorts. My Singing group was one of the few. We called ourselves Bards and Nobles. Upon meeting the lovely gentility they invited us to attend court and join there camp. They are part of a guild called Azure Rose and hail from Grand Junction. They were so warm and kind giving the festival a truly magical but general historical feel to the atmosphere. We happily performed many times at court and were graciously received. They attended or last performance with the Queen of the Faire Her majesty Lady Laura. It was truly an honor and a privilege. They invited us back and extended their thanks and contact information, hoping that we would attend their festival in August. I for sure will do everything I can to be there and I can't wait to see them again.

More Easter...

Our Easter weekend began when Annie, the kids and Mugga showed up on Friday. The kids were ecstatic to see each other and had fun getting reacquainted. Mugga treated us all to "How to Train Your Dragon" Which was a blast even though Ethan had to see it from an up standing point. Lily made the funniest comments out loud in the theater, this being only her second show at the "BiG Movie". When Hiccup eats the fish- EWWW Cu-ca POOOO!
Then on Saturday when went to the Smith's easter hunt and Hollywood Connection Easter Mayhem. The kids all in all had fun. Later we all headed up to the Rendezvous where my DAd and Brothers were. We walked around the traders, visited and then we went to the motel Mugga got for us to stay in. Annie and I had a fun visit/trip when we went out late to get candy and extra goodies for Dad's birthday the next day.
On Sunday we did the basket egg thing with the munchkins and then headed back to the Rendezvous. Dad had fun taking the kids out on the canoe and we instructed Lily that you don't get out on the water's side of the canoe. Silly girl! WE watched the boys win their canoe races and had some awesome Miss kitty's BBQ. Dad ate his tomato that we got him for a healthy cake and the rest of us had peach pie and snickers cake. Sucker. I love my family and the though it was all a blast it was way to short a time with my family. They all left Sunday afternoon to travel home. I still miss them.

and you are really wondering now? Why? Pray tell why are you acting like a Nun? IS their some secret side of you that we don't know? Is their something we should be worried about? Umm yes, yes and yes! My worrrrrrds in pictchas... My new friends Lydia and Alyssa and my old missionary buddy, Marilyn, got together and did an assembly for the Indian Hills junior high who had been studying the time period since Janurary. Since most of us are in a singing group together and we all love to dress up we were the perfect willing candidates. We had a lot a fun, telling all the "kiddies" about the Renaissance and it's colorful array of classes. We performed songs and told some history but mostly had fun. I think we have a good gig here. So if anyone knows a school or library or even collective group who wants a fun presentation on the Renaissance let me know. You won't regret it. And like I said we have an even larger singing group that performs old english and renaissance music.

The Tournament of Kings

Vegas 30, Day Two...

First we went straight to walmart and bought a cheap stroller to ease our backs for the days outings. Then Jared took a nap while I finished my medieval book, all while waiting for Mandee and Travis to visit his sister. Then we had lunch at the "Market Grill Cafe" Where my old boss owns and works. His Wife is greek and they opened this fresh and delicious cafe with the best Greek food I have ever had. Way better than anything they have in Salt Lake. (Rib and Landa you would die). They were filming that day, people eating and enjoying the food for TV screens that they will have playing throughout the restaurant. They filmed us watching them light a flaming cheese. It was so cool. Joe my boss did it. Ethan who was asleep at the time started crying, he wasn't a fan of the flaming cheese. Afterwards we headed to the Outdoor Store and the pro Bass shop. They had free fishing lessons, a huge waterfall and a huge aquarium with a mermaid swimming in it. She came over and Said hi to the Sleeping Ethan. It was so cute. I bought a Celtic CD and Jared bought some cherry sours(wow, we are big spenders aren't we). We took our journey back to the Bellagio where we caught the tram over to Band new City center and toured the new casino Aria. It was all decked out for Chinese new year as well. Everything was so extravagant that it was so easy to forget everything outside. but that's how they want it. From there we sent Ethan with mandee's mom to babysit and we drove to the Excalibur for The tournament of Kings. Mandee and I dressed up for the Occasion. Our husbands weren't to excited but they were good sports. After having finished my medieval book earlier really got me in the mindset for the show. I really loved it. We were on Spain's side. The cutest one(YEaH) but he was taken out early, dang it. After it was over we got pictures with the winner. Don't we look good. We concluded the evening walking to the M&M factory and New york New york for pretzels and back to excalibur for ice cream. Good thing I did all that walking to burn the calories I was in taking. Whew! Then home to bed and a gasy baby. UGH! So now I am home on the other side of 30. Big Thanks go to Mandee for planning our whole trip and making it a wonderful time for me. Thanks Jared, you are my knight in shining armor. Thanks Travis for not shooting me and to mandee's parents for putting us up.

Vegas 30, Day one...

So the first day of my vegas birthday weekend we went to see the fountains of Bellagio (which I absolutely love) and the chinese botanical garden, which was celebrating the chinese new year. Then we walked over to Caesars Palace. While there we walked around the forum shops, watched the Atlantis display and enjoyed the aquarium. We found this Photo gallery by this artist I can't remember his name, but it was beautiful, all landscapes. This is one I took with Jared relaxing under. I only took it because some lady walking around the gallery said to take the picture because it was perfect. So I did. Too bad I couldn't afford to bring it home. I have to say I didn't see as much as I had wanted to because Ethan was heavy trying to carry him around in my sling. I wore out to fast so we didn't get down to the Fremont Street tribute to Queen. Darn! next time I guess. Funny though the people you see in Vegas, that night we saw I police officer posing with some scantily clad lady pretending to arrest her for a picture...weird! and then we saw a 6ft, 2" gentleman wearing a garter and panties and bra. All I can saw is he must have chased off the Jesus preachin' fellows. It scared me the other direction. Good Times!

Chocolate DIva Bash

So myself and some groovy girlfriends all went to Gardner Villages Chocolate Bash on Sat. I just want to say I had so much fun. The village was doing the queen of Hearts and they had lots of sales. The best I have ever seen. Anastasia's Attice which everyone knows is my favorite story of all time, had a gorgeous coat for a $100.00 on sale for $22.00. Everyone who passed by said it looked amazing on me, so my friend Gillian bought it for my birthday and I got to prance all over in my new Diva coat. We ate chocolate till we were chocolated out and then ended the evening wandering around the village some more. I found thee funniest book ever called " If these Boobs could talk" for breastfeeding women. I was laughing so hard I almost peed my pants. I didn't get it but I should have. Today, Monday, I got a call saying that I won one of the gift baskets we had entered. WOW it was a great weekend. I love my friends. They are the best.

A year of Thanksgiving!

We have so very much to be thankful this year, so I am glad I got to host Thanksgiving dinner at my house to celebrate. We started this year but picking up the house hunting again and by the end of March we were moved in to our new home in magna. Jared has only been at his new job for almost a year and things are going amazing. We have our new baby boy and though early is healthy and doing great. we have an amazing group of friends who have become part of our family and we couldn't be happier or healthier. Thanks be given.

First Girl's Camp since I was in Young Womens

Wow, I am a leader now and have been for about a month and a half or so. We just had our girl's camp and i got to stay the entire weekend up with them. I cannot tell you how fun it was. I really got to know the Leaders and the girls. We had more fun than a ball of wax. We went to the Heber Valley camp which was beautiful, where we did a challenge course, canoed on the lake, made lots and lots of crafts and just bonded as a leadership. I really love these women and the love they had for everyone around them. i can't wait to be like them someday. What good examples.

Family Reunion and Lily turns two

So my family was in charge of the Webster Family Reunion this year. We had it up at Jordanelle, fairly close to the lake. We had yummy foods, waverunners, boating Campfire games and excellent company. I love my family even more every year we do this. And as it happened it fell right on Lily's birthday so grandma gave her some presents which included her own little princess tent. boy that helped when it was time to put her down at night. It was all so much fun.

Erica was my best friend in High school and we have only seen each other one other time since graduating. I visited her in Coos bay back in 2006 and she came to see me last week. It was so fun, I wish we could have had more time but you do with what you are given. We chatted for a couple hours and then she had to be on her way back to Washington. Well I guess it is my turn to visit her again now.

So my family had a huge party to commerate what would have been my Great Grandma's 1ooth birthday and my grandpa who was turning 80. We had lots of people, fun, games, food and a parade. Then on the 4th itself we watched my grandpa do the riverton flag ceremony and had the chuck wagon breakfast. Later that day we had a BBQ at my aunt Julie's followed by fireworks at the Riverton park. I think Lily was impressed. On Sunday we went to Jovi's Baby blessing and watched as my uncle and cousins shaved their heads in support of my cousin Kurtis who leaves for Iraq on tuesday. Let me just say after all the festivities and chasing after Lily by myself all weekend I crashed so hard on Sunday night. What a weekend!

We did something we almost never do... went boating. It was very fun. With our Friends the Creeds we sailed the high seas and even hit a few waves. The funniest part is Lily fell asleep on the little boat even with all the excitement around her.

Lily never gets to see my sister's kids, but luckily they came to town on a whim last week. Addison is only 2 weeks older than Lily and it was so fun to see them play together. They would giggle and watch movies and play on the bikes. It was so cute. I wish it would happen more often.

The Renaissance Fair

Today I(Kellie) got to spend the day at the fair. I hung around with Marilyn's singing group (the pirates in men's pants) most of the time while they walked around singing beautifully to the masses. It was a lot of Fun. We saw two jousting matches and some bellydancing and lots of interesting characters like the one fairy on stilts. Marilyn's group was amazing and wonderful to hang around. We walked around and looked at lots of different vendors and saw lots of cool things we wish we could buy but know we could probably make. We had a lot of fun and I got to much sun, silly me, were was my 14th century sunblock.

Some Dear Friends (Lisa and Briony) decided to save me on thursday by kidnapping Lily and I and taking us to a great park and having a picnic. Briony made delicious Cinnamon Rolls, Yummy Lemonade and Sweet potato Pie. Lisa showed us a cool duck pond where the kids just had a blast with some very friendly ducks. It was an amazing escape, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I really needed it. Sorry I was slow to get out of my pregnancy bubble. I am working on being better about that. I love you guys so much, that meant so much to Lily and I. Thank You.

PS now you know where I live you are welcome over anytime. I even have my hammock up in the perfect spot so you can kick up your feet and take a nap if you want to.

So In the past couple weeks Lily has branched out to some new things and it's is bye bye Baby Einstein, hello Barbie? Everybody we have to watch it, more often it is more than once. We only have one(the magic of Pegasus) but she loves loves loves it. She even got in trouble the other day and she was like "Mommy, Mommy, Barbie, barbie" It is hilarious. She also loves to color("cudor") She colors on whatever paper she can get her hands on. Then A friend picked up a dolly playset including carseat, swing, playpen ...everything and she has three baby dolls, Sarah, Jessica, and Hannah. She has got her hands full. And so will I in 8 months because we are expecting number 2.

Well our Easter Weekend started with Sam and Diane's Wedding reception. and then since most of the family was in town they wanted to come and see our new house. It was fun showing everybody. Then we headed up to the Easter Rendezvous to see my Dad. It is quite funny to see my Dad and Lily together but I think he finally won her over with a hard boiled egg. Then on Sunday we had fun getting dressed up for Sunday.

Twilight Book Club
